FOR KITCHEN TRADE PROFESSIONALSOPEN A TRADE ACCOUNT
Terms and Conditions
Development review notice: These terms are published for review while the KBB Doors website remains in development. They do not yet govern orders and will be commercially and legally reviewed before online ordering opens.
Review version: 13 August 2026
These business-to-business terms cover trade accounts, quotations and orders for made-to-measure kitchen doors and related products, together with use of kbbdoors.com.
1. About us and these Terms
KBB Doors is the trading brand of KBB DOORS LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17257127. Our registered office is Dynevor House, 5 – 6 De La Beche Street, Swansea, United Kingdom, SA1 3HA and our trading address is 26 Springfield Way, Anlaby, Hull HU10 6RJ.
You can contact us at sales@kbbdoors.com or 01482 765325.
These Terms govern applications for and use of a KBB Doors trade account, quotations and orders for products supplied by us, and use of kbbdoors.com (the Website). Once finalised and brought into effect, they will form part of every Contract between us and the Customer.
2. Trade customers only
We supply products only to customers acting wholly or mainly for purposes relating to their trade, business, craft or profession. We do not accept orders from consumers.
By applying for an account or placing an order, you confirm that you are acting as a business customer and not as a consumer, that the information you give us is accurate and complete, and that you have authority to bind the business named on the application or order.
If the law nevertheless treats you as a consumer, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Definitions
- Contract means the contract between us and the Customer for an Order.
- Customer, you or your means the business named in the trade account, quotation or Order.
- Made-to-Measure Product means a product made, cut, drilled, finished or otherwise adapted to dimensions, choices or specifications supplied or approved by the Customer.
- Order means your offer to buy products in accordance with an accepted quotation, online submission or other order instruction.
- Order Confirmation means our written confirmation that expressly accepts an Order.
- Products means the goods described in the Order Confirmation.
- Specification means the dimensions, design, material, finish, colour, drilling, quantities, tolerances and other details stated or incorporated in the Order Confirmation.
4. Trade accounts
A trade account is subject to application and approval. We may request reasonable evidence of trading status, identity, authority, creditworthiness or delivery details.
We may approve, decline, restrict, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary, including for security, suspected misuse, overdue payment, material breach or a change in credit risk. Approval of an account does not oblige us to accept any Order or provide credit.
You are responsible for keeping login details confidential, limiting access to authorised users and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You must keep your business, billing, delivery and contact information up to date.
5. Quotations, Orders and formation of the Contract
A quotation is an invitation to place an Order, not an offer that is capable of acceptance. A quotation remains available for the period stated in it and may be withdrawn before we issue an Order Confirmation.
Your Order is an offer to buy the Products described in it. An automated website message or email acknowledging receipt is not acceptance. A Contract is formed only when we issue an Order Confirmation. Each Order Confirmation forms a separate Contract.
If there is a conflict, the following order of priority applies:
- any written variation expressly agreed by an authorised representative of KBB Doors;
- the Order Confirmation and incorporated Specification;
- these Terms; and
- the accepted quotation.
Any terms on your purchase order or other document do not apply unless we expressly agree to them in writing.
We may correct an obvious pricing, typographical or technical error before accepting an Order. If an error is discovered after acceptance, we will contact you promptly and agree a fair correction or allow the affected Order to be cancelled without charge if agreement cannot be reached and production has not begun.
6. Product information, samples and colours
Product descriptions, drawings, renders, photographs and marketing materials are intended to give a general representation. They do not form part of the Contract except to the extent expressly included in the Specification.
Screen displays, lighting, photography and production batches can affect the appearance of colours, gloss levels, textures and woodgrains. Customers should assess a current physical sample before committing to a project where an exact visual match is important.
Samples show the general character of the material and finish but reasonable variation may occur between a sample and the Products, and between production batches.
Dimensions are stated in millimetres unless expressly stated otherwise. Manufacturing tolerances stated in the relevant product technical specification, quotation or Order Confirmation form part of the Contract.
We may make a change required by law or safety standards, or a minor technical change that does not materially reduce the Product’s quality, function or appearance. We will tell you about any material change before production where reasonably possible.
7. Made-to-measure specifications
You are responsible for checking that every dimension, quantity, handing, drilling position, finish, colour and other choice in the Specification is complete and correct before placing the Order.
We are entitled to manufacture from the Specification in the Order Confirmation. We are not responsible for an error in information supplied or approved by you, including site dimensions, appliance clearances, cabinet condition or installation requirements, unless we expressly accepted responsibility for checking that information in writing.
You must tell us before ordering about any particular purpose or unusual condition on which you intend to rely. A Product is not supplied as fit for a particular purpose unless we expressly confirm that purpose in the Order Confirmation.
Changes requested after the Order Confirmation are effective only if we accept them in writing. We may revise the price and estimated delivery date to reflect the change. We may refuse a change where materials have been committed or production has started.
Once production of a Made-to-Measure Product has started, the Order cannot normally be cancelled. If we agree to cancellation, you must pay the reasonable costs and losses we have incurred up to the date of cancellation.
8. Prices and VAT
Prices are exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. VAT will be charged at the applicable rate where required.
Delivery, packaging, pallets, samples, special handling and other charges are additional unless the quotation or Order Confirmation says they are included.
The price in the Order Confirmation applies to that Order. We may change catalogue, Website or trade prices at any time, but a change will not affect an Order already accepted unless these Terms expressly allow it or the parties agree otherwise.
9. Payment and credit
Unless we have approved written credit terms, cleared payment in full is required before production begins.
Approved credit accounts are payable within the period stated in the written credit approval, quotation or Order Confirmation, without deduction or set-off except where the law requires otherwise or we have agreed a genuine credit note.
If payment is overdue, we may suspend production, delivery and further account use; require payment in advance for future Orders; charge statutory interest and claim fixed compensation and reasonable recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998; and recover reasonable enforcement costs to the extent permitted by law.
You must notify us promptly if you dispute an invoice, identify the amount disputed and give reasonable supporting detail. You must pay any undisputed amount by its due date.
10. Delivery
Delivery is to the address stated in the Order Confirmation. You must tell us promptly about any restriction affecting access, vehicle size, parking, loading, timing or safe delivery.
Any delivery or completion date is an estimate unless we expressly agree in writing that it is fixed. We will use reasonable efforts to meet estimates and keep you informed of a material delay.
We may deliver an Order in instalments where reasonably necessary. Each instalment may be invoiced separately.
You must ensure that an authorised person is available to receive and inspect the delivery and that suitable access and safe unloading arrangements are available. The delivery method, including any kerbside or unloading responsibility, will be stated in the quotation or Order Confirmation.
If delivery cannot be completed because of your act or omission, we may store the Products and charge reasonable storage, return and redelivery costs.
11. Risk and title
Risk of loss or damage passes to you when delivery is completed. Legal title to the Products does not pass until we receive in cleared funds all sums due for those Products.
Until title passes, you must keep the Products identifiable, stored safely and insured for their full value, and must not create a charge over them.
12. Inspection, shortages and transit damage
You must inspect the Products as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery and before cutting, drilling, altering or installing them.
Visible transit damage, an incorrect item or a shortage should be recorded with the carrier where possible and reported to us promptly, normally within two business days of delivery, with photographs and the delivery reference.
A defect that was not reasonably discoverable on delivery must be reported promptly after discovery, with reasonable evidence and before further use or installation where this can be done safely.
You must retain the Product and relevant packaging while we investigate and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect it. Disposing of, altering or installing a visibly defective Product before we can assess it may affect the remedy reasonably available, but does not exclude a valid claim where inspection was impracticable or urgent mitigation was necessary.
13. Quality, defects and warranty
We warrant that on delivery the Products will materially conform to the accepted Specification, subject to stated manufacturing tolerances and reasonable material or batch variation; be of satisfactory quality; and be free from material defects in design, material and workmanship.
Any additional written product warranty applies for the period and subject to the conditions stated in that warranty, technical specification or Order Confirmation.
The warranty does not cover an issue caused by inaccurate dimensions, choices or instructions supplied or approved by you; failure to inspect before alteration or installation; unsuitable storage, handling, cutting, drilling, installation, adjustment, cleaning or maintenance; use outside stated technical or care guidance; defects in cabinets, buildings, appliances, hinges or fixings not supplied by us; fair wear and tear or normal ageing; or unauthorised repair, alteration or misuse.
If a Product does not comply with this clause and you make a valid claim, we may, after reasonable investigation, repair it, replace the affected Product or refund an appropriate part of its price. The remedy will take account of the nature of the defect, proportionality, availability and whether repair or replacement is reasonably possible.
No removal, reinstallation or other consequential trade cost may be incurred on our behalf without our written approval except where urgent action is reasonably necessary to prevent further loss or damage. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Cancellations and returns
Made-to-Measure Products cannot be returned merely because they are no longer required, were ordered in error or do not fit dimensions or choices supplied or approved by you.
A return requires our prior written authorisation and must follow the instructions we give. Authorisation to inspect a return is not an admission that the Product is defective. Any return of a standard, non-bespoke Product is subject to the return terms stated in the relevant quotation, Order Confirmation or written return authorisation.
This clause does not affect your rights in respect of Products that are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise do not comply with the Contract.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 as to title; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to the paragraph above, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, goodwill or opportunity, except to the extent such loss cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms limits your duty to take reasonable steps to mitigate a loss. The final approved terms may include a reasonable aggregate liability cap following review with our commercial solicitor and insurer.
16. Intellectual property and Website use
All intellectual property rights in the Website and in our designs, drawings, renders, photographs, copy, branding, samples and technical materials belong to us or our licensors.
You may use material we expressly provide for your legitimate internal purchasing, specification and resale activities, subject to any usage conditions we give you. You must not copy, scrape, republish, modify, reverse engineer or commercially exploit Website material without permission.
You must not misuse the Website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with its operation or use an account or automated tool in a way that is unlawful or unreasonably burdens our systems.
We aim to keep the Website accurate and available but do not promise uninterrupted access. Product availability, price and lead-time information is not binding until included in an Order Confirmation. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
17. Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including serious transport disruption, fire, flood, severe weather, utility or telecommunications failure, cyberattack despite reasonable safeguards, industrial dispute, epidemic, government action or shortage of material from an ordinarily reliable supply chain.
We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect, notify you where the impact is material and resume performance when reasonably possible. If the event continues so long that performance becomes substantially impracticable, either party may cancel the unperformed part of the affected Order by written notice. You must pay for Products already completed and reasonable committed bespoke costs, and we will refund any balance for Products we will not supply.
18. Suspension and termination
We may suspend performance or terminate a Contract by written notice if you fail to pay an undisputed amount when due and do not remedy that failure within a reasonable period after notice; commit a material breach and, where it can be remedied, do not remedy it within a reasonable period after notice; become insolvent or cease trading, to the extent permitted by law; or provide materially false information or use the account unlawfully or fraudulently.
Termination does not affect rights and liabilities that arose before termination. Provisions intended to continue, including payment, intellectual property, confidentiality and liability provisions, remain effective.
19. Confidentiality
Each party must keep the other’s confidential commercial, pricing, technical and account information confidential and use it only for the Contract. This does not apply to information that is public other than through breach, was lawfully known already, is received lawfully from another source, is independently developed, or must be disclosed by law or to a professional adviser bound by confidentiality.
20. Personal data
We use personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Each party remains responsible for meeting its own data protection obligations.
21. Notices
A formal notice under a Contract must be in writing and sent by email or prepaid post to the address stated in the Order Confirmation or most recently notified for notices. This clause does not apply to service of court proceedings or other documents in legal proceedings.
22. General
We may subcontract manufacturing, delivery or other obligations, but remain responsible for performance of the Contract.
Neither party may transfer a Contract without the other’s written consent, not to be unreasonably withheld or delayed, except that we may transfer it as part of a genuine sale or reorganisation of our business if this does not materially reduce your rights.
A delay in exercising a right is not a waiver. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent needed or deleted, and the remaining provisions will continue. No person other than the parties has a right to enforce a Contract under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
The Contract is the entire agreement about its subject matter. Each party acknowledges that it has not relied on a statement not set out in the Contract, but this does not exclude liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. A variation is effective only if agreed in writing by authorised representatives of both parties.
23. Governing law and courts
These Terms and each Contract are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them.
24. Questions and complaints
Please contact us promptly if you have a question, complaint or delivery issue. We will aim to investigate it fairly and work with you towards a practical resolution.
