Vela Super Large Inset/Undermount Kitchen Sink

Product detail

Built into the wider KBB offer

The Vela Super Large Inset/Undermount Kitchen Sink is for the kitchen where the sink is the functional anchor of the whole room — where everything else has been organised around the need for a bowl that handles serious cooking without restriction. At super-large scale in brushed stainless steel, available as inset or undermount, it's a specification that belongs in a kitchen designed to be used rather than admired from a distance. Both have their place; this kitchen is being designed for both.

The bowl's super-large dimension is the definitive characteristic. It provides the kind of washing capacity that a household with serious cooking habits — large batches, generous entertaining, preservation or canning — requires on a regular basis. Brushed 18/10 stainless steel at this scale requires correct gauge selection to maintain rigidity without excessive weight; the Vela Super Large is specified accordingly. The brushed finish handles the marks of heavy daily use as part of its character.

Inset or undermount installation changes the design reading without changing the utility. Undermount keeps the quartz overlay's surface character visible right to the bowl's edge — particularly effective where the overlay is doing significant visual work, as with a Calacatta Retro or Vitton surface. Inset makes the super-large steel bowl explicitly present: honest, direct, and precisely the right choice for a kitchen that values clarity.
